Welcome to North Shore Hawaiian Kitchen
North Shore Hawaiian Kitchen brings a compact slice of island-style comfort food to Klamath Falls. I find it set up for quick lunches, easy dinners, and takeout runs that fit a busy day. The counter service keeps things simple, and the menu stays focused on familiar Hawaiian plates with rice, mac salad, and meats that draw steady local praise.
The spot feels casual and close-knit. I notice a mix of locals, students, road trippers, and solo diners, which gives the room a lived-in feel. The pace suits a short stop, but the food has enough weight to carry a full meal. Many guests mention the Korean chicken, teriyaki chicken, and pulled pork, along with portions that leave room for leftovers. That kind of value matters at the $10–20 range.
I also see a place that fits a practical dining list. It offers dine-in, takeaway, delivery, catering, and table service, plus parking and wheelchair access. The setting feels cosy and a bit trendy, with a food-and-drink vibe that stays grounded. If the goal is hearty Hawaiian comfort food without a long wait, this kitchen has a clear place in town. A small menu can still hold a lot of flavor, and this one does.

About
North Shore Hawaiian Kitchen sits at 2750 Altamont Dr in Klamath Falls, with free parking, street parking, and an accessible entrance. I find it easy to reach for lunch, dinner, or a quick pickup order. The counter-serve setup keeps the flow moving, and the phone line and reservation option add a bit of flexibility for planned visits and group meals.
The place works for a range of diners. Locals stop in for a plate lunch, tourists land here during road trips, and university students often look for food that fills the gap between classes. The atmosphere leans casual, cosy, and a touch trendy, with enough room for comfort and no extra fuss. Fast service stands out, which matters when the line builds at peak lunch hours.
I notice strong practical details too. It accepts cards and NFC payments, serves kids well, and offers seating for dine-in meals. The menu and service style make it a solid match for solo dining, small groups, and quick family stops. The whole setup feels tied to everyday life in town, which gives it local weight. It is the kind of place people mention by name when they want Hawaiian food that feels familiar and filling.

What People Say
Most Liked
Guests praise the Korean chicken, teriyaki chicken, kalua pig, and pulled pork. The mac salad gets a lot of love, and the rice and meat plates land well for people who want a full meal. Portion size comes up often, with many diners saying the food carries into leftovers for a second meal. Fast service also stands out, which fits the lunch rush crowd. I hear a lot of talk about comfort food, local specialty, and that island-style plate lunch feel. It is the kind of spot people tell friends about after one solid bite.
Most Disliked
The small menu can feel limiting for diners who want more variety. A few people may want extra sides or a wider mix of island dishes. Busy times bring a line, especially late lunch and Friday around 5 PM, so wait time can stretch for people in a hurry. The compact space may feel tight when the crowd builds. Some diners may also want larger beverage choices. Still, these points seem tied more to the format of the place than to the food itself. It is a quick-stop kitchen, not a sprawling dining room.

Cruising through town on a road trip, we stumbled upon this gem of a spot. The reviews looked decent, so we figured, "Why not?" Let me tell you, best call ever. The food here is next-level awesome. We went all in and ordered everything on the menu—it's a small menu, but every single thing was straight-up fire. No joke, we couldn’t pick a favorite. The pulled pork? Insane. The Korean chicken? Unreal. Even the sides were a total vibe. The crew running the place is super chill, super friendly—just good people making great food. We were so blown away we could barely string words together to thank them properly. And heads up, this spot gets busy, like, constant flow of hungry folks busy. If you’re ever rolling through, you have to hit this place up. Don’t sleep on it—it’s the kind of food that stays with you, in the best way. Total stoke.

Excellent food and service every single time. They’ve became my go to place for food. And leftovers are even better so a small plate last me 2 meals.. I wish I could give them 10 stars honestly!

Amazing food and people tucked neatly into the community, this place smells as wonderful as everything they're serving up tastes! You won't regret stopping by for a bite or taking some to go. Don't forget a can of juice!!

I was driving through to get to Washington. Stopped here for lunch. Portion size is fantastic. I got the Korean chicken and it was delicious. When driving back to California, I decided to come back. Got the pork and teriyaki chicken. Both was good and tender. I think I still like the Korean chicken. Overall, delicious and good portion size. Not often I can’t finish a meal.

First time passing through here and stopped because of the reviews. Did not disappoint. I had the Korean Chicken with mac salad and rice. Husband had the Shoyu Chicken with mac salad and rice. Delicious. Generous portions. And we were stuffed, even with just the small meal option. Friendly staff and super fast service as well!

Each time I have ordered from NSH Kitchen, I have never walked away disappointed. I do wish they would add some drippings to the rice. So much flavor 😋
